Career Opportunities
Initially you will be employed as a Trainee Pilot with a CPL certificate. Further training is imparted at the respective airlines' training centers, where pilots are put through rigorous technical training on various aircrafts of the airline.
Most of the private air lines recruit fresh CPL holders and pay them a stipend during the training period, which could last for four or twelve months under the supervision on a senior pilot. The first independent job is as a Co-Pilot. Once confirmed with the necessary endorsement, commercial pilots are paid handsomely- between Rs 8 12 lakhs annual starting salary, and generous allowances like housing, medical and outstation allowances as well as free confessional air passages for immediate family and dependants.

When you do the Class II medical, it is better to do Class I screening test also. You have to note that you have to do the medical of the country which you plan to go. So, you have to do that country medical also with the approved doctors. Is it necessary to do ground class before I leave to abroad for pilot training?
It is not at all necessary. Because, all these flight schools start training from the fundamentals of aviation only. But, when compare to other countries, DGCA examination will be hard.
